ON THE ROAD TO THE STARS

Preparation guide

What you need to know for a smooth takeoff

Starter guide

At SPACE CYCLE, all sessions are open to beginners, intermediates, advanced… To start your trip peacefully, you will find in this guide everything you need to know before takeoff!

Cycling shoes

Cycling shoes are essential for your session to go well. They will allow you to pedal in complete safety.

During your session, your shoes will be clipped to the pedals of your bike.

Saddle height

The saddle adjusts to hip height. Once installed on your bike, you must have your leg slightly bent.

Clip in/unclip

To clip in, place your foot on the pedal. You should hear a “clip” and make sure your foot is still hooked to the pedal.

To unclip, simply flick your heel outwards to unhook your cycling shoe.

The resistance button

The resistance button is located below the handlebars. Resistance allows you to add intensity to your pedal strokes and movements.

Single/double rhythm

The rhythm will be indicated by your coach, who will guide you by giving indications on the rhythm as well as the guiding leg.

The coach will simply tell you whether you are switching to the right leg or the left leg!
